Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) on Tuesday announced the 19th edition of the Toyota Dream Car Art Contest (TDCAC), reaffirming its long-standing commitment to nurturing creativity and inspiring the next generation of mobility innovators. Conceptualised by Toyota Motor Corporation, the global initiative invites children aged 15 years and under to imagine, design and illustrate their vision of future mobility through art.

The contest will be open to participants across India from January 12 to February 12, 2026, providing young minds a national platform to express bold ideas and unrestricted imagination. Conducted in over 90 countries worldwide, the Toyota Dream Car Art Contest identifies national winners who go on to represent their countries at the prestigious global World Contest.
In India, the national round will select nine winners across three age categories—seven years and under, eight to 11 years, and 12 to 15 years. Participants are encouraged to submit artwork based on the theme “Your Dream Car,” which allows complete creative freedom to visualise innovative, smart and sustainable mobility concepts without limitations. The top three winners in each category will receive certificates of participation and the opportunity to represent India at the Global Contest, scheduled to be held after March 2026. In addition, 18 finalists will be recognised with digital certificates for their creative excellence.
Commenting on the announcement, Mr. Sabari Manohar, Executive Vice President, Sales-Service-Used Car Business, Toyota Kirloskar Motor, said the Dream Car Art Contest reflects Toyota’s belief that imagination is the starting point of innovation. He noted that the initiative celebrates children’s ability to envision a smarter, better and more sustainable future, adding that the company looks forward to discovering fresh ideas and perspectives from young participants across the country.
Indian participants have consistently made their mark on the global stage in previous editions of the contest. At the 17th edition held in 2024, Peruri Lakshmi Sahasra from Visakhapatnam won the Best Finalist Award at the Global Contest in the 12–15 age category, strengthening India’s presence on the international creative platform. Toyota said such achievements underline its continued focus on encouraging creativity and empowering children to dream boldly as they shape the future of mobility.
