TVS Motor Company has once again raised the bar in commercial mobility with the launch of the TVS King Kargo HD EV, a purpose-built electric three-wheeler designed for the future of last-mile logistics. Unveiled to much anticipation, the vehicle represents a new era in cargo mobility–one where comfort, durability, advanced technology, and operator well-being converge. Alongside the EV, TVS also showcased the King Kargo HD CNG variant, slated for launch later this year, underscoring the company’s multi-fuel approach to meet diverse customer needs.

  • Moreover, TVS identified three distinct customer categories – Market Load Operators (cost-conscious, durability-driven), Captive Customers (focused on uptime and service reliability), and Fleet Aggregators (younger, tech-savvy drivers who value range, comfort, and resale).

“Our design process starts on the ground. We live the life of operators, ride with them, and see firsthand what challenges they face. That’s how we discovered that acquisition cost, durability, comfort, and uptime are just as important as torque and mileage. Unless we understand these needs, we cannot design products that truly matter,” he explained.

The King Kargo HD EV is India’s first Bluetooth-enabled cargo three-wheeler, powered by TVS SmartXonnect™, offering 26 smart features. Operators benefit from real-time tracking, safety alerts, performance dashboards, geofencing, and even immobilizer functionality for B2B fleets.

Fleet owners gain additional control with TVS Connect Fleet, a platform offering 31 advanced features, including remote asset control, intelligent dashboards, alerts, and reminders–designed for seamless integration with fleet operations.

Priced at ₹3.85 lakh, the King Kargo HD EV enters a highly competitive cargo three-wheeler market dominated by established players. Yet, TVS believes its first-in-class features, driver comfort focus, and connected ecosystem will differentiate it significantly.

The EV houses an 8.9 kWh battery, delivering a real-world range of 95–120 km per charge, with charging time under 3 hours 10 minutes. In terms of Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), the King Kargo HD EV offers 30% lower operating costs than diesel alternatives and 9–17% better TCO compared to competing EVs.

TVS is backing its product with a 6-year/1.5 lakh km warranty, 3 years of free roadside assistance, and access to 700 service touchpoints and 10,000 trained mechanics across India. Operators are promised 24-hour turnaround time for breakdowns, ensuring minimal downtime.
