What started as a modest Eicher dealership in Agra in 1994 has today become one of India’s most respected and high-performing names in the commercial vehicle dealership network. Prem Auto Enterprises, under the Prem Group, has not only expanded geographically but also built a reputation anchored in service quality, market understanding, and a deep connect with its transporter customers.

“Our roots are in the field, with transporters who want reliability, not just sales talk. That’s what we’ve built; trust and transparency,” says Utkarsh Agrawal, Director, Prem Group.
The dealership began its journey with a small two-bay workshop and sold just 16 vehicles in its first year. Fast-forward to today, and Prem Auto records monthly sales of over 125 units and handles more than 1,600 vehicles in service; a clear indication of both market traction and customer loyalty.

As the commercial vehicle ecosystem grows more competitive, Prem Auto has responded by investing heavily in infrastructure, processes, and people; culminating in the inauguration of India’s largest 3S (Sales, Service, Spares) integrated Eicher facility, spread over 200,000 sq. ft. on the busy Delhi–Agra highway (NH-2). “Scale was never our goal for its own sake. We built big because our customers demanded more; faster service, better comfort, and full support even in emergencies,” Utkarsh explains.
The 3S Facility That Redefines the Role of a Dealership
Strategically located on NH-2, the newly launched facility goes beyond typical dealership functions. With 44 service bays, it is designed to handle high volumes without compromising turnaround time. Recognising the needs of truck drivers; often ignored in large setups; Prem Auto has included overnight stay options and free meals to ensure the driver’s well-being is taken care of during service hours.

Additionally, five fully equipped breakdown vans are deployed to offer real-time roadside assistance, ensuring minimal vehicle downtime and enhanced uptime; a critical KPI for any transporter today.

The workshop is further equipped with advanced wheel alignment and air-conditioning repair bays, addressing vehicle wellness in totality. “For a fleet owner, every hour a truck is off the road is revenue lost. Our system is built to reduce that pain point with precision and urgency,” says Utkarsh.

Prem Auto has also made sustainability central to its operations. In a segment that’s often resource-intensive, the dealership has adopted a range of measures to reduce environmental impact. Nearly 80% of the energy consumption at the facility is met through solar power, and 100% of water used is recycled. A rainwater harvesting system further complements their green commitment, and over 10,000 sq. ft. of green cover has been developed around the premises.
“Dealerships can no longer afford to just be functional. We have to be futuristic; responsible to the environment and cost-efficient for the business,” he adds.
Commanding Market Share, Backed by Execution
Prem Auto’s customer-first strategy has translated into impressive market leadership across key segments:
- In the Light and Medium Duty (LMD) Trucks segment, the company commands a 45% share in its region.
- In the bus segment, Prem Auto enjoys over 30% market share.
- Even in the Heavy-Duty Truck segment; traditionally a tough, competitive space; it has carved a strong presence, currently holding over 22% market share, with steady year-on-year growth.
These figures are not just statistical wins; they reflect deep-rooted relationships, after-sales service reliability, and a hands-on leadership team that believes in staying close to the ground realities.
“Fleet owners don’t just buy a truck; they invest in an ecosystem. We’ve built an ecosystem where uptime, service support, and human connect are always guaranteed,” says Utkarsh.
Recognition That Reflects Reality
The market performance and customer engagement at Prem Auto haven’t gone unnoticed. The dealership has been awarded the All-India Best Dealer Award for two consecutive years, validating its execution capability, customer satisfaction scores, and operational benchmarks.
But for the leadership, awards are a by-product of consistency. “Our biggest award is when a customer sends another customer to us; that kind of endorsement can’t be bought, only earned,” he notes.
While Prem Auto is future-focused, investing in digital tools and training teams to handle modern CVs, it remains deeply grounded in traditional values; hospitality, responsiveness, and commitment.
Plans are already underway to expand service capacity, introduce tech-enabled diagnostic tools, and enhance training programs for technicians and support staff. The group is also exploring newer geographies and product categories to further deepen its association with the Eicher brand.
“We want to be more than a dealership. We want to be the partner that every transporter, big or small, turns to without a second thought,” concludes Utkarsh.
