Uno Minda Aftermarket has launched a new range of metal wiper blades, featuring technology sourced from Taiwan, aimed at addressing one of the most overlooked but safety-critical components in a car — the windshield wiper. The range is priced between ₹180 and ₹405 and is available at major retail outlets as well as online platforms including Amazon, Flipkart, and Uno Minda Kart.
The new wiper blades feature a pressure-balanced frame design that maintains uniform contact with the windshield across its entire length, ensuring streak-free wiping. The rubber element is coated with graphite and Teflon, which reduces friction and allows the blades to operate more quietly than conventional wipers. The blades have been tested for up to 500,000 wiping cycles, a figure the company says points to long-lasting and reliable performance under everyday conditions.
The range also comes with a universal adapter that fits more than 95% of vehicles on the road, making installation straightforward without the need for model-specific fittings.
