Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has expanded its pre-owned car business footprint with the launch of Toyota Mobility Solutions and Services India Pvt. Ltd. (TMSS) operations in Chandigarh. TMSS, a wholly owned subsidiary of TKM, aims to redefine India’s used car ecosystem by combining transparency, reliability, and excellence in line with Toyota’s global standards.

The new facility, located at Plot No. B56, Industrial Area Phase-6, near Dara Studio Chowk, Mohali, spans 8,500 sq. ft. and can display more than 10 certified Toyota vehicles. It offers a comprehensive suite of services, including a 203-point vehicle inspection, refurbishment using Toyota Genuine Parts, and the brand’s signature ‘Maru-Maru’ cleaning process — a precision detailing treatment that ensures a new-car-like finish. Customers will also benefit from a uniform “one price for all” policy, extended warranties, trade-in and exchange programmes, and roadside assistance.
Commenting on the launch, Mr. Tadashi Asazuma, Deputy Managing Director, TKM, said, “Our journey in the used car segment reaffirms that customers value safety, transparency, and reliability above all else. With 37 new outlets planned by 2028, we aim to set new benchmarks in India’s pre-owned vehicle market, anchored in trust and quality.”

Since entering the pre-owned vehicle space in 2022, Toyota has established dedicated outlets in Bengaluru, Delhi, and Guwahati, selling nearly 4,000 vehicles to date — with over 30% of sales driven by customer referrals. TMSS-certified vehicles come with up to a two-year or 30,000 km warranty and three complimentary services at any Toyota service centre across India.
Buyers can access detailed vehicle history and valuation through Toyota’s digital platforms, including the U-Trust website, ensuring a transparent and hassle-free ownership experience. The Chandigarh launch marks another milestone in Toyota’s efforts to build a robust, tech-enabled, and customer-centric pre-owned mobility network across India.
