Arumugam Ponnan, Director, Teknorot

At ACMA Automechanika, Teknorot reaffirmed its commitment to expanding its footprint in India’s fast-evolving aftermarket. The company, one of Europe’s largest steering and suspension component manufacturers, is positioning itself aggressively to strengthen brand presence and partnerships across the country.

“As Teknorot, we are working to further strengthen our presence in the Indian market while competing at a global level. We are one of the biggest manufacturers in Europe, and our brand already enjoys strong recognition in India. Today, we cater to nearly 2,000 steering and suspension products in the Indian market. Our goal is to support the Indian aftermarket with high-quality, globally benchmarked solutions,” said Mr. Arumugam Ponnan, Director – Teknorot.

Teknorot operates across both OEM and aftermarket segments, showcasing a comprehensive range at the expo.

“We handle both OEM and aftermarket portfolios. Our key products include stabilizer links, ball joints, tie rods, aluminium control arms and cast control arms. Our manufacturing headquarters is in Chennai, while our group headquarters is based in Turkey. This strong manufacturing backbone allows us to deliver consistent quality and scale for the Indian market,” he explained.

With the Indian aftermarket becoming increasingly organised and digital, Teknorot is leveraging digital tools to enhance accessibility and efficiency.

“We actively use digital marketing to promote our products. We share stock positions and catalogues through social media platforms such as Instagram, Twitter and WhatsApp. Customers can visit our portal, check stock availability and place orders online. Once ordered, products are dispatched and delivered within seven working days to the end customer,” he noted.

Teknorot has built a strong base in the imported vehicle aftermarket and is now expanding into domestic vehicle applications.

“The Indian aftermarket consists of both domestic and imported vehicle segments. We are particularly strong in the imported vehicles aftermarket. Now, we are expanding our portfolio for domestic brands like Maruti and Hyundai to strengthen our position further,” he said.

The company reports steady year-on-year growth following each Automechanika edition.

“Every year after Automechanika, we see strong customer response and add new clients to our portfolio. Our business volume in India has been growing by 20 – 30% annually. We are confident that this edition will once again bring new customers and new business opportunities for 2026,” he stated.

With an expanding portfolio, digital outreach strategy and clear focus on key market players, Teknorot is positioning itself for accelerated growth in India’s competitive aftermarket landscape.
