Tata Motors Crosses 25,000 Public EV Chargers, Seals Deals to Double Network in 12 Months

Tata Motors, India’s largest commercial vehicle maker, has achieved a major milestone in its electric mobility journey by crossing 25,000 public charging stations accessible to its electric small commercial vehicle (e-SCV) customers. Spread across 150 cities including Delhi-NCR, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Chennai, and Hyderabad, these chargers are strategically located at logistics hubs to boost last-mile delivery operations with better range confidence, improved uptime, and higher earning potential.

Building on this momentum, Tata Motors has signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with 13 leading Charging Point Operators (CPOs) to install another 25,000 public chargers over the next year. These include A Plus Charge, Ampvolts, chargeMOD, Charge Zone, Electric Fuel, Envo The Sustainer, EV Spot Charge, Kazam, Nikol EV, Sonik Mobility, Thunderplus Solutions, Volttic, and Zeon Electric.

All current and upcoming chargers will be integrated into Tata Motors’ connected vehicle platform, Fleet Edge, enabling customers to locate, navigate to, and check real-time availability of charging stations seamlessly.

“Crossing the 25,000 public charging station mark is a pivotal milestone in our commitment to advancing electric cargo mobility and its enabling ecosystem,” said Mr. Pinaki Haldar, Vice President & Business Head – SCVPU, Tata Motors Commercial Vehicles. “With over 10,000 Ace EVs deployed covering more than 6 crore km, customer confidence in e-cargo vehicles is rising. Our new Ace Pro EV is also gaining strong traction with its advanced capabilities for urban and semi-urban operations.”

He added that while Tata Motors continues to develop reliable, high-performance e-cargo vehicles, it is equally focused on building the supporting charging ecosystem through strategic collaborations.

Tata Motors’ current e-SCV lineup includes the Ace Pro EV, Ace EV, and Ace EV 1000, designed for diverse cargo needs with multiple load deck and payload configurations. The company has also set up over 200 dedicated EV support centres nationwide to provide dependable service and technical assistance, ensuring high uptime for its growing electric fleet.
