The 2nd Executive Committee (EC) Meeting of The Tamilnadu Automobile and Allied Industries Federation (TAAIF) was held on 23rd March, 2025, at Tiruchengode, Tamilnadu, with member associations discussing and deliberating on a variety of issues affecting the automobile spare parts trade.

Established in 1982, TAAIF has been acting as the voice of the automobile spare part dealers’ fraternity in the state.
In the meeting organized by TAAIF and Tiruchengode Automobiles Urimaiyalargal Sangam (TAUS), 28 member associations of TAAIF participated.
Discussing the details of the meeting, Mr. A. Gopalakrishnan, President of TAAIF, stated, “The meeting was a resounding success, with full participation from our member associations. Our members shared invaluable insights to ensure the stability and sustained growth of the automobile spare parts trade. Additionally, they put forward strategic recommendations to shape the future trajectory of the industry.”
Mr. Gopalakrishnan further added that efforts are being made to land from the Government for establishing an ‘Auto Nagar’.
The Co-Chairman of TAAIF’s GST Committee Mr.A. Ravi, in his speech, explained the new GST procedures coming into effect from 1st April 2025 and clarified the doubts of the members.
The Chairman of the Building Committee at TAAIF, Mr. V.M. Rajeshwaran, announced, amidst applause from the members, that the construction of the association’s building will be completed by March 2026.
The Legal Committee Chairman, Mr. K.A. Chidambaram, emphasized that frequent legal amendments are being made and that members must comply with all regulations properly.
The Industrial Security Development and Stability Committee Chairman, Mr. E.M. Hameed Ibrahim, spoke about how business is undergoing globalization and explained, with examples, the ways to tackle competition from large corporates.
Others to address the gathering on the occasion included Mr.S.V.Thangam, Secretary, Mr. R.V. Ramanathan, Treasurer, Mr. N.Nagarajan, Vice President, Mr.K. Varadharajan, Vice President, Mr.D.Chidambaram, Joint Secretary, Mr.P.Murugesen, Committee Chairman, Mr.K.C.Sekar, Mr.K.V.Ganeshan, Mr.P.Subramaniam, Mr.P.Kandhasamy, Mr.J.M.S.Chinnapan and Mr.V.Natarajan.
Alongside TAAIF’s 2nd Executive Committee meeting, an exhibition was also held, featuring over 20 stalls showcasing a diverse range of automobile spare parts.
