ACMA Automechanika 2026 once again underlined its role as the most important meeting ground for India’s automotive aftermarket, and for Sumax Engineering, the show became a platform to signal its next phase of growth, innovation and deeper global collaboration.

Speaking at the Sumax pavilion, Mr. Sudeep Mehta, Managing Director, Sumax Engineering, said the company is using the 2026 edition to introduce a new range of products, including paint protection films, aimed at meeting evolving OEM and aftermarket expectations.
“ACMA Automechanika gives us the opportunity to showcase new products and also engage directly with OEMs, distributors and customers from across India,” said Mr. Mehta. “The focus today is on innovation that reduces process time while improving quality standards.”

Sumax’s long-standing partnerships with global brands such as Indasa, Nichiban and Soft99 were also in focus. According to Mr. Andrew Tindall, Executive Director, Indasa Group, the Indian market has matured rapidly over the years.
“We have seen India move from traditional sanding to more sophisticated process management, driven by efficiency and consistency,” said Mr. Tindall. “The improvement in local market capability has been significant.”
Looking ahead, Sumax plans to strengthen its manufacturing footprint with two new factories in India over the next two years, alongside expanding its specialised product portfolio.

“Our promise to customers remains simple,” Mr. Mehta added. “Trust and performance, delivering the right product at the right price with the quality the market expects.”
Echoing this sentiment, Mr. Tindall said, “Indasa is built on quality and consistency, and our commitment is to understand Indian market needs and deliver reliable solutions as the market continues to grow.”
