Škoda Auto Volkswagen India (SAVWIPL) closed calendar year 2025 with one of its strongest performances to date, supported by a steady industry recovery and rising demand across segments. The Group recorded its highest-ever domestic sales of 117,000 units, marking around 36% year-on-year growth, while cumulative sales, including exports, stood at 159,500 units.

The year also marked a major manufacturing milestone for the Group, as SAVWIPL crossed the production of 2 million Made-in-India vehicles, highlighting the growing scale and maturity of its Indian operations. Central to this growth was the MQB-A0-IN platform, developed specifically for India, which now underpins all locally manufactured Škoda and Volkswagen models.
Exports continued to play a strategic role, with cumulative overseas shipments crossing 715,000 units, reinforcing India’s position as a key global production hub for the Group. SAVWIPL further expanded its international footprint during the year by entering and exploring new markets across the GCC and ASEAN regions.
Brand-wise, 2025 saw several standout performances. Volkswagen maintained its leadership in the premium sedan segment, with the Virtus commanding a 38 percent year-to-date segment share, while the first batch of the Golf GTI sold out within days of its launch. Škoda reported 107 percent growth, driven by strong demand for the sub-4-metre Kylaq and the return of the Octavia RS, reflecting strong customer affinity for the brand. During the year, the Group also expanded its customer touchpoints to around 700 across brands, strengthening its nationwide sales and service network.
In the premium and luxury space, Audi introduced models such as the Q7 Signature Edition, Q3 and Q5 Signature Lines, and the RSQ8 Performance. Lamborghini launched the Temerario, while the Revuelto was named ‘Super Car of the Year’. Porsche expanded to 13 points of sale and introduced new experiential formats, and Bentley joined SAVWIPL as the Group’s sixth brand, opening dealerships in Mumbai, Bengaluru and Delhi.
Commenting on the performance, Mr. Piyush Arora, Managing Director and CEO, Škoda Auto Volkswagen India, said 2025 reflected consistent execution and a long-term commitment to India. He noted that deeper localisation, scale and a strong product pipeline under the Make-in-India strategy were visible across manufacturing, sales and exports, and added that India will continue to play a larger role in the Group’s global growth journey.
With several product launches lined up for 2026, SAVWIPL plans to build on this momentum, deepen customer engagement and further advance its sustainability goals, while strengthening India’s role as a high-quality global manufacturing base.
