Budding shock absorber manufacturer Sukuga has set its sights on establishing a strong presence in southern India. In this exclusive interview with Aftermarket & Service, Naved Chugtai, Head – Sales & Marketing, Sukuga Technologies Pvt. Ltd., reveals the company’s current market presence, product offerings, financial outlook, and their ambitious long-term vision.
Sukuga offers shock absorbers for both two- and three-wheelers, including electric vehicles (EVs). The company is an OE supplier of shocks to popular models of two-wheeler maker Bajaj and has recently introduced different variants of front fork such as Optima, Maxima, Compact, LD Front, etc. It also manufacture filters for two-wheelers and is planning to come out with three-wheeler filters as well.
Sharing details of Sukuga’s distribution network, Chugtai shares, “Currently, we have a well-set distribution network in Visakhapatnam and Hyderabad and have recently appointed one distributor in Kerala. We have also onboarded two distributors in Tamil Nadu, one of them in Coimbatore. Next up, we are planning to expand further into Karnataka.”
The current financial year has been quite promising for Sukuga, as Chugtai explains, “We are on an upward trajectory, in sync with the market growth. The two and three-wheeler market in India offers significant untapped potential, and we are excited to have entered this space. Our target for the year is to achieve a monthly business turnover of at least two and a half crores. The outlook is positive, and we are confident about our growth prospects.”
Looking ahead, Sukuga envisions establishing itself as a dominant brand in the market. Over the next five years, the company has ambitious plans of partnering with more than one lakh retailers, a testament to its commitment to rapid expansion and becoming a household name in the automotive parts industry.
