Renault Confirms Iconic Duster’s Comeback -New-Gen SUV to Debut in India on 26 January 2026

Renault India, the wholly owned subsidiary of Renault Group, has officially confirmed that its upcoming SUV will revive one of the most celebrated nameplates in India — the Renault Duster. The announcement sets the stage for the return of a true segment pioneer that transformed India’s SUV market when it was first launched in 2012.

The new Duster will be the first product under Renault’s International Game Plan 2027 and a cornerstone of the company’s India transformation strategy — “renault. rethink.”

Calling the Duster a brand legacy, Mr. Stéphane Deblaise, CEO, Renault Group India, said, “Renault Duster is more than just a name – it’s a true legend. A symbol of adventure, reliability and innovation, its comeback shows our commitment to the Indian market and our desire to offer vehicles that meet the needs of our customers. The new Renault Duster will rely on its iconic heritage while adopting a modern design, advanced technology and enhanced performance.”

With close to 1.8 million Duster customers globally and over 200,000 owners in India, the SUV remains one of Renault’s biggest success stories — admired for its rugged capability, practicality, and commanding presence.

Renault has announced that the new-generation Duster will be unveiled on Republic Day — 26 January 2026, marking a symbolic return of a name that shaped India’s SUV culture. Beginning today, customers and fans can join the official waiting program to stay updated.

The legend is ready to return — stronger, smarter, and reimagined for a new era of adventure.
