FORVIA has appointed Pankaj Kapoor as President of FORVIA India, effective immediately. He will serve as FORVIA Faurecia India President and Multi-BG Division Vice President, as well as FORVIA HELLA India President.

In his FORVIA Faurecia role, Kapoor will define and execute the strategic direction of the business in India and lead its operational performance. For FORVIA HELLA, he will act as the senior local leader and representative, supporting customer engagement, business development and collaboration across the Group’s activities in India.
India is a priority growth market for FORVIA. The Group aims to double its sales in India by 2030 from approximately €450 million in 2025. This ambition reflects the growth potential of FORVIA’s combined portfolio in the country.
In Seating, FORVIA aims to broaden its scope from mechanisms and structures to complete seat systems and target approximately 10% market share.
In Electronics, FORVIA HELLA expects strong double-digit average annual growth in India through 2030, driven by radar and battery sensors and microcontrollers. Local production capacity is being expanded at the electronics plant in Dhankot, Haryana.
Kapoor succeeds Anil Khandekar, who is pursuing personal goals. The two will work closely through the end of October to support a smooth leadership transition.

Pankaj Kapoor brings more than 30 years of automotive and industrial experience, including more than 15 years in P&L leadership roles. Before joining FORVIA, he held senior positions at Cummins India, Hyva India and Tenneco India, with experience across business transformation, customer growth and operational leadership.
He holds a qualification in Mechanical Engineering from Aryabhatt Institute, New Delhi, a postgraduate degree in Business Management from the AIMA Centre for Management Education and has completed an advanced management program at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He is based in Pune, India.
