Nissan Motor India has achieved a major milestone by exporting its 1.2 millionth vehicle from the country, marking a strong endorsement of its ‘Make in India, Make for the World’ strategy. The landmark vehicle—an all-new Nissan Magnite B-SUV headed to the GCC region—was flagged off at Kamarajar Port, Ennore (Tamil Nadu) by Mr. Saurabh Vatsa, Managing Director, Nissan Motor India.

Since starting export operations, Nissan has shipped a diverse portfolio including the Magnite, Sunny, Kicks and Micra to markets across Africa, the Middle East, Latin America and Southeast Asia. With the Magnite available in both left-hand and right-hand drive configurations, Nissan now exports to over 65 countries, deepening India’s position as a strategic export hub within the AMIEO region (Africa, Middle East, India, Europe & Oceania).
Speaking on the achievement, Mr. Vatsa said, “This milestone of exporting 1.2 million vehicles reflects the relentless efforts of our teams and the trust customers worldwide place in our Made-in-India cars. The Magnite is a global success, showcasing Nissan’s commitment to design, quality and innovation that transcends borders.”
The New Nissan Magnite has earned strong global recognition, including a 5-star Global NCAP rating for adult occupant protection and 3-star rating for child occupant protection. With more than 20 first-in-segment features and 55+ safety features, it continues to redefine the compact SUV category.
Looking ahead, Nissan is preparing to introduce its upcoming global C-SUV, the Nissan Tekton, which will debut in India next year and be exported to select international markets—further strengthening India’s role in the company’s global growth journey.
