At the India Garage Expo, R. Rajagopal, Managing Director of SAP Equipments & Tools, shared insights into the company’s latest developments and their participation. Based in Coimbatore, SAP Equipments & Tools is a prominent player in the garage equipment sector, offering a comprehensive range of products that includes water wash systems, wheel servicing equipment, body shop tools, diagnostic devices, and detailing products. Rajagopal emphasized, “We are essentially a one-stop solution in Coimbatore, providing an entire range of equipment for various garage needs.”
At the expo, SAP Equipments & Tools showcased their diverse product lineup, including their latest innovations. “One of our standout exhibits is the new alignment system from PRECISION,” Rajagopal explained. “This 4D alignment technology allows for flexibility with a drive-through model and Android integration, eliminating the need for the usual 5,500 mm distance between the machine and the turntable. It’s the first of its kind in India.” Additionally, the company featured a Touchless Car Wash system, developed locally in Coimbatore, which efficiently cleans vehicles in just 3.5 minutes.
Rajagopal provided some background on the company’s journey, noting that SAP Equipments & Tools was founded in June 2020. “Initially, we started as traders of car washing equipment, but with over 19 years of experience in the field, we decided to expand our operations. Our goal is to offer a complete range of products, ensuring that customers don’t have to look elsewhere,” he said. The company has grown significantly, supplying equipment across India, as well as to Sri Lanka and the Andaman Islands.
Looking ahead, Rajagopal is optimistic about the future. “The automobile market is booming, with new vehicles and technologies emerging daily. We expect a growth rate of 20 to 25 percent in the next three to five years. Our focus is on developing in-house products aligned with the Make in India initiative, and we are committed to providing 24/7 service support,” he added.
Regarding the current market scenario, Rajagopal highlighted the increasing interest from young entrepreneurs in starting their own garages and detailing businesses. “There is a surge in demand for advanced car detailing and washing equipment. Our aim is to cater to this growing market and continue innovating to stay ahead,” he noted.
The response at the India Garage Expo has been promising. “The turnout has been impressive. While the first day typically sees about 50 percent of the expected audience, the second day exceeded our expectations with a huge crowd. We’ve been working around the clock and the response has been very encouraging,” Rajagopal concluded.
