Hyundai VENUE Secures 5-Star BNCAP Rating, Raises Safety Bar in Compact SUV Segment

Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has achieved a major safety milestone with the all-new Hyundai VENUE and VENUE N Line securing a 5-star safety rating under the Bharat New Car Assessment Programme (BNCAP). The achievement reinforces the company’s strong focus on delivering advanced safety technologies to a wider set of customers in India.

Both models demonstrated strong performance across multiple crash test parameters, offering high levels of protection for adult as well as child occupants. The result positions the VENUE among the safest offerings in the compact SUV segment.

Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Mr. Nitin Gadkari, congratulated Hyundai on the achievement, noting that it reflects the company’s commitment to enhancing vehicle safety in line with Indian road conditions and evolving consumer expectations.

Mr. Tarun Garg, Managing Director & CEO, Hyundai Motor India, said the rating reaffirms Hyundai’s commitment to offering world-class safety, quality and reliability. He added that the company will continue to push boundaries to make advanced safety features more accessible across segments.

The all-new VENUE is built on a reinforced body structure with extensive use of ultra-high strength and high-strength steel, enhancing crash protection. It also comes equipped with over 65 safety features, including electronic stability control, hill-start assist, six airbags, all four-disc brakes, tyre pressure monitoring system, surround view monitor and a rollover sensor, among others.

Since its launch, the model has received strong market response with over 1 lakh bookings and multiple industry accolades. The latest 5-star BNCAP rating further strengthens its appeal among safety-conscious buyers and consolidates Hyundai’s position in India’s competitive compact SUV market.
