Hella was another of the most popular and respected brands in the automotive aftermarket to present a full range of customer-centric products that included LED lights, fog lamps, brake pads, horns, filters, lubricants, coolants, and switches. Anandhan Venugopal, Executive Director & Head – Aftermarket, Hella India Lighting Ltd., shared insights into Hella’s innovative offerings and its commitment to delivering the best possible quality and durability to its customers. Here are excerpts from his stall walkthrough and product showcase.
One of our iconic products is the LED Tail Lamp, the durability of which is showcased by being submerged in water. You might recall seeing these lamps in Ashok Leyland’s BOSS trucks as OE fitment. We have recently introduced the LED variant ‘Dark Defender’ as a fog lamp, which has gained remarkable market acceptance. At Hella, we are customer-centric, always striving to provide innovative solutions that set us apart in the market.
We are adding a touch of luxury by including a perfume with our light products as it enhances the aesthetics. Our filters, launched five years ago, have garnered significant recognition for their quality and packaging. For brake pads, we cater to both European and Asian vehicles. To address the issue of mechanics dealing with residual heat after pad removal, we provide gloves to withstand the heat. We believe in taking care of customers’ needs down to the smallest details.
Our range also includes our iconic horns and a comprehensive line-up of lubricants. We have gained recognition as a strong competitor in the Indian coolant market, thanks to our retailer and workshop partners. Our switches can be found in the dashboards of buses operating at airports. We offer a diverse portfolio, ensuring we cater to both vintage and contemporary requirements, always looking towards the future.
We have expanded our product portfolio for two-wheelers with fluids like brake oils and transmission oils, serving brands like Hero, Bajaj, Royal Enfield, and TVS. Spark plugs are another area of interest where we’re actively working on expanding our range. We’ve also ventured into two-wheeler bulbs, which have been well-received. Wipers have been a staple product for us for nearly 15 years and continue to perform excellently.
Our chrome trumpet horns are signature items, particularly favoured by today’s youth. We have noticed a market shift from disc horns to trumpet horns, and our unique ABS plastic material ensures the color never fades. This is a product that is exclusive to Hella. We are dedicated to maintaining our unique space in various product categories while always putting our customers’ needs at the forefront.
