Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV), the wholly-owned subsidiary of Daimler Truck, has strengthened its BharatBenz network in Eastern India with the inauguration of a new authorised dealership — Agile Trucking — in Raniganj, West Burdwan district, West Bengal. The strategically located facility marks a significant expansion for the brand across one of the state’s busiest industrial and infrastructure belts.

Situated on NH2, a key national artery that connects major industrial hubs, the new dealership sits just 20 km from Andal Domestic Airport. Its proximity to high-activity regions such as Durgapur, Raniganj and Asansol positions it to meet the growing demand from captive fleet operators, large construction contractors, and railway-linked logistics players.
Spread across 85,000 sq. ft. and operating round the clock, the facility is designed to maximise vehicle uptime — a core focus for BharatBenz. It houses 12 service bays, 4 dedicated accident-repair bays, and is supported by four Mobile Reach Vans (MRVs) for rapid on-road assistance. With 65 trained service professionals, Agile Trucking has the capacity to handle over 500 vehicles per month, offering comprehensive sales, service and spares under one roof.
Mr. Rajiv Chaturvedi, President & Chief Business Officer, Daimler India Commercial Vehicles, said, “West Bengal continues to be a key market for BharatBenz, driven by infrastructure development, industrial activity, and freight movement along major national highways. The inauguration of the Agile Trucking dealership in Raniganj further strengthens BharatBenz’s footprint in southern West Bengal.”
He said that the district’s concentration of industrial activity makes it a strategic priority. “With this modern 3S facility, we are reinforcing our commitment to delivering reliable products, faster service turnaround, and a superior ownership experience. Currently, BharatBenz has 418 touchpoints, and by 2026, we will expand to 450. In West Bengal, we will add five more workshops next year and launch a new Regional Training Centre in Kolkata by Q4 2026 to ensure dealerships have trained engineers for enhanced customer service,” he added.
Mr. Vijayakumar K, CEO of Agile Trucking, called the inauguration a long-term investment into the region’s transport ecosystem. “With advanced infrastructure, a skilled team and round-the-clock operations, we aim to support our customers with dependable service and help them achieve higher uptime and operational efficiency,” he said.
Aligned with BharatBenz’s network strategy, all its South Bengal touchpoints are located along major national highways for quicker response and efficient logistics support. The Raniganj facility is expected to play a pivotal role in supporting fleet operators across infrastructure, industrial and captive-use segments.
Since its inception in July 2022, Agile Trucking has already sold over 400 BharatBenz vehicles in the region and now operates three strategically placed touchpoints along key highway corridors, ensuring seamless access and superior service reach for customers.
