Classic Legends has added another milestone to its growing innovation portfolio with the grant of a new patent covering its adjustable visor and speedometer mechanism—first introduced on the 2025 Yezdi Adventure. The patent, valid for 20 years from March 21, 2023, underscores the company’s commitment to functional, rider-first engineering and strengthens its identity as a design-driven performance motorcycle manufacturer.

The patented system lets riders adjust both the visor and the speedometer to suit their height and riding posture, offering a clearer view and greater comfort even while off-roading. The feature blends Classic Legends’ engineering precision with practical usability, refining the interface between rider, machine, and environment.
This latest recognition adds to the company’s growing body of intellectual property. Classic Legends previously secured a patent for its Air-filter Multifrequency Resonator—used in the BSA Gold Star and BSA Scrambler in the UK—which suppresses unwanted intake noise across the engine’s entire rpm range, a significant improvement over traditional single-frequency resonators.
The company has consistently pushed the mid-sized motorcycle category forward. Its early adoption of a liquid-cooled 334cc engine set new performance and thermal-efficiency benchmarks at a time when the segment was dominated by air-cooled motors. This Alpha 2 engine remains the backbone of its mid-capacity lineup. Classic Legends was also one of the first to bring six-speed gearboxes, assist and slipper clutches, traction control and advanced braking systems to the segment—each selected for real-world riding value.
Mr. Susheel Sinha, Head – R&D at Classic Legends, said, “This patent solves a specific rider-interface problem, but it also reflects how we think. Performance engineering isn’t about adding features endlessly. It’s about mechanical clarity, durability, and design choices rooted in the rider and the road. This recognition motivates us to continue building rider-centric motorcycles with strong engineering foundations.”
On the latest Yezdi Adventure, engineering and design work hand-in-hand. A centrally routed exhaust boosts thermal efficiency and comfort, while twin headlamps provide a unique visual signature and wide illumination—each decision driven by purpose, not just aesthetics. Likewise, the 2025 Yezdi Roadster’s adjustable seating, balanced ergonomics, and factory-backed customisation stem from structural decisions taken early in development.
Classic Legends’ ambitions extend beyond the mid-sized class. Its 650cc single-cylinder engine—one of the largest of its kind built in India for the BSA Gold Star—demonstrates its capability to engineer high-displacement platforms with modern mechanical systems.
