Amid the ongoing festive season, Citroën India has added to the celebration with a major milestone — its AIRCROSS SUV has achieved a prestigious 5-star safety rating for adult occupant protection under the Bharat New Car Assessment Programme (Bharat NCAP). This marks a key moment in Citroën’s journey to offer secure, intelligent, and customer-focused mobility solutions tailored to Indian driving conditions.
The achievement reflects the brand’s evolving product direction under the Citroën 2.0 strategy, which focuses on creating vehicles that blend aspirational design, advanced safety, and superior comfort. Known for its ride quality and refinement, the AIRCROSS now stands as a complete family SUV engineered for protection, versatility, and peace of mind.

The AIRCROSS performed exceptionally across all Bharat NCAP parameters — Adult Occupant Protection (AOP), Child Occupant Protection (COP), and Safety Assist Technologies (SAT). It is equipped with six airbags, ISOFIX child seat anchors, and more than 40 active and passive safety systems, including electronic stability control, tyre pressure monitoring, and hill-hold assist. The SUV’s structure, built with high-strength, advanced high-strength, and ultra-high-strength steel, is engineered to absorb impact energy effectively while minimising cabin intrusion.
In addition to its safety credentials, the AIRCROSS continues to deliver on Citroën’s comfort promise. It offers LED projector headlamps, automatic climate control, power-folding ORVMs, and a thoughtfully designed interior with a soft-touch dashboard, rear AC vents, and convenient power window placement.
Under the hood, the AIRCROSS is available with two engine options — the 1.2L Gen 3 PURETECH 110 turbo and the PURETECH 82 naturally aspirated engine — producing up to 110ps and 205Nm of torque. Customers can choose from 5-speed manual, 6-speed manual, and 6-speed automatic transmissions, along with flexible 5-seater and 5+2 seating configurations.
