BMW Motorrad India has launched the new BMW S 1000 R, its much-awaited high-performance roadster, at an introductory ex-showroom price of ₹19.9 lakh. Bookings are now open at all BMW Motorrad dealerships across the country.
Mr. Hardeep Singh Brar, President and CEO of BMW Group India, said the new S 1000 R blends superbike performance with roadster agility, offering bold design, razor-sharp precision, and an adrenaline-packed riding experience.
The motorcycle is available in three striking colour options — Blackstorm Metallic, Bluefire/Mugiallo Yellow (Style Sport), and Lightwhite Uni/M Motorsport (M Package). It is powered by a 999 cc inline-four engine delivering 170 hp at 11,000 rpm and 114 Nm at 9,250 rpm, enabling 0–100 km/h in 3.2 seconds and a top speed of 250 km/h.
Standard features include Headlight Pro with DRLs, M quick action throttle, engine drag torque control, riding modes (Rain, Road, Dynamic), hill start control, six-axis IMU with ABS Pro and DTC, 6.5-inch TFT display with smartphone connectivity, full LED lighting, and a USB charging port.
Riders can further enhance the bike with optional Dynamic, Comfort, or M Sport packages, offering features like Dynamic Damping Control, Pro riding modes, cruise control, heated grips, M forged wheels, and an M lightweight battery.
All BMW Motorrad bikes come with a standard three-year unlimited kilometre warranty, extendable to five years, and 24×7 roadside assistance. BMW India Financial Services also offers flexible finance and rider gear packages.
