BMW Group India has announced the return of the BMW M Drift Academy for 2026, expanding the high-performance driving programme to four major cities—Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad and Delhi. The latest edition aims to offer a more immersive and accessible drifting experience for enthusiasts across the country.

Positioned as a unique platform combining motorsport excitement with responsible driving, the academy allows participants to learn advanced drifting techniques in a controlled and safe environment. The programme is conducted under the guidance of BMW-certified instructors, reinforcing the brand’s #DriftResponsibly philosophy.
Mr. Hardeep Singh Brar, President and CEO, BMW Group India, said the expanded format responds to growing interest among enthusiasts. He noted that the academy offers a structured learning experience where participants can master performance driving skills while maintaining a strong focus on safety.

The two-day programme blends classroom sessions with hands-on track training using BMW M2 and BMW M4 models. Participants are trained in key drifting techniques, including throttle control, maintaining and exiting drifts, circular drifting and transition drifting on figure-eight layouts.
Upon successful completion, participants receive certification along with the ‘Drift Pilot – Red Badge of Honour’, marking the beginning of their journey towards advanced drifting credentials.
Registrations are open through authorised BMW dealerships and online platforms, with limited slots to ensure focused training. The participation fee has been set at ₹1 lakh.
Complementing the academy is the BMW M After Party, which brings together enthusiasts for an evening of music, drift showcases and curated experiences, celebrating the performance culture associated with BMW M.
