Companies that adapt to technological diversity, rising customer expectations, and digital transformation stand to unlock immense growth potential, Mr. S. Muralidharan, Chairman – Automobile Service Providers Academy (ASPA), has said.

Setting the context at the ‘International Summit – Technology Shaping Workshops,’ organised by ASPA, as part of ACMA Automechanika, he emphasised the need for continuous training and technology upgradation to remain competitive. Indian automotive workshops, he said, must adapt quickly to the rapid technological changes in modern vehicles. He highlighted the challenges and opportunities this shift brings, underscoring the essential role of skill development and stronger industry collaboration.
Delivering his address at the event, Mr. Vikrampati Singhania, President of ACMA, said, while garages face challenges such as investing in advanced tools, upgrading technician skills, and meeting higher customer expectations, the opportunities are equally strong. Technology can improve productivity, enable accurate diagnosis, reduce rework, and build customer trust. Workshops that adopt these changes early will benefit the most and see faster growth, he reiterated.
Earlier, welcoming the gathering, Mr. Vikrantt Mohan, Founder, ASPA said the era of the spanner has given way to the scanner, emphasising the urgent need for technology upgradation in workshops.
Following the inaugural session was the ‘Conversation’ with Mr S. Muralidharan participated by Mr. Micah Shepard, President, Schaeffler – LTS, Roland Braun, Sales Director (Asia), Liqui-Moly and Mr. Philipp J. Hess, Bilstein Group.
