Toyota Kirloskar Motor has launched the New Toyota Glanza hatchback in India, with prices starting at ₹6.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Bookings are open for ₹11,000. The car is a refresh of the model Toyota launched in 2019 and gets a sharper, sportier design, a more premium cabin and new safety features. The Deputy Managing Director Mr. Tadashi Asazuma said the hatchback segment remains an important entry point for new car buyers.
Its biggest addition is Level 2 ADAS, which includes adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, lane departure warning and prevention, autonomous emergency braking and high beam assist. Other safety features include six airbags, a 360-degree camera, tyre pressure monitoring, vehicle stability control and ISOFIX child-seat anchorages. The cabin adds ventilated front seats, wireless charging, a head-up display and a 22.86 cm infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The Glanza uses a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine making 61 kW and 112.4 Nm. The CNG version makes 51.3 kW and 101.8 Nm and now offers an AMT automatic option. Toyota claims fuel efficiency of 23.80 km/l for the manual and 24.77 km/l for the AMT. The car comes in seven colours, including two new ones, Bluish Black and Digital Teal Green. It carries a 3-year or 100,000 km warranty, extendable to 5 years or 220,000 km.
