JSW MG Motor India has launched the STORM Series, a limited-edition line-up of its Hector SUV in two versions: the Hector Blackstorm and the Hector Snowstorm. Both offer bolder styling, dark-themed interiors and edition-specific accessories for buyers who want a more personal and distinctive look.
The two editions come in a 5-seater layout and are powered by a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine producing 143 PS and 250 Nm, paired with a CVT automatic gearbox.
On the outside, the STORM Series gets a new all-black Storm Hex grille and black garnishes on the front and rear bumpers. Aura Storm Blade alloy wheels with red brake calipers add a sporty touch, while dark chrome accents appear on the logos, skid plates, tailgate and body-side cladding. Piano black roof rails, LED headlamps with piano black bezels and smoked connected tail lamps complete the look.
Inside, the cabin is finished in Nimbus Black, with all-black leather upholstery, Blackstorm or Snowstorm embossing on the front headrests, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel with gunmetal finish. Buyers can also have a STORM Series accessory package fitted at the dealership free of charge. It includes edition badges, a red tailgate accent, fog lamp and mirror covers with red accents, and side step boards.
“With the introduction of the STORM Series, we are building on this legacy by offering a bolder expression of style and individuality,” said Mr. Vinay Raina, Chief Commercial Officer, JSW MG Motor India. He added that the editions keep the technology, safety, comfort and refinement that have defined the Hector.
The STORM Series retains the Hector’s key technology. It has a 14-inch HD portrait touchscreen, the largest in its segment according to MG, with Smart Boost technology for faster response. It also has i-SWIPE gesture controls, which let users adjust the air conditioning, music and navigation with two- and three-finger swipes. A 7-inch fully digital instrument cluster, a digital Bluetooth key with key sharing, predictive maintenance alerts and remote AC control are also included, along with more than 70 connected features through MG’s i-SMART technology.
Other highlights include a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, 8-colour ambient lighting, ADAS, a powered tailgate, an air purifier with a PM 2.5 filter and rain-sensing wipers. Safety features include a 360-degree HD camera, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, traction control, hill hold control and brake assist.
To make ownership easier, MG is offering up to 100% on-road financing for tenures of up to 84 months, as well as full financing on edition-specific accessories. The STORM Series also comes with MG SHIELD’s standard 3+3+3 package: a three-year unlimited-kilometre warranty, three years of roadside assistance and three labour-free periodic services. Customers can extend these through additional warranty, roadside assistance and prepaid maintenance plans.
