Mercedes-Benz India today launched the Mercedes-AMG G 63 in an ‘Offroad PRO’ variant. This top-end vehicle will be available in limited numbers, underlining the exclusivity of the ‘Offroad PRO’ variant for AMG G 63 aficionados across the Indian market.
For decades, the Mercedes-Benz G-Class has remained an unmistakable automotive icon, combining timeless design, exceptional robustness, and uncompromising off-road capability. Within this legendary lineage, the Mercedes-AMG G 63 has created a character entirely its own, bringing together the authentic DNA of the G-Class with exhilarating AMG performance and an unmistakable road presence. With its more rugged visual character and AMG-specific off-road features, the Offroad PRO variant elevates the G 63’s all-terrain abilities and commanding presence to the next level.
Key highlights of the Offroad PRO include the AMG ACTIVE RIDE CONTROL suspension, which supplements the standard AMG RIDE CONTROL with active roll stabilisation matched to different drive programmes, allowing high driving stability or greater axle articulation off paved roads while improving comfort over bumps. The variant also introduces two exclusive off-road modes: AMG Active Balance Control, which allows drivers to individually adjust suspension roll stiffness across three stages for more precise off-road tuning, and AMG Traction PRO, which delivers maximum traction in “Rock” and “Sand” drive programmes by controlling braking torque individually for each wheel, helping the vehicle free itself in situations like deep sand, with locking adjustable across seven stages.
Additional features include a PROFESSIONAL roof luggage rack for stowing larger luggage or expedition accessories, featuring continuous aluminium panels and a removable rear ladder for easy access, along with unique 20-inch AMG 5-twin-spoke light-alloy wheels finished in matte black with a diamond-turned rim flange, fitted with 275/50 R20 tyres.
