Bajaj Auto has unveiled the all-new Pulsar 150 and Pulsar 125, marking 25 years of the iconic motorcycle brand. The new models retain the Pulsar’s performance-focused and masculine character while gaining an all-new engine and gearbox, monoshock suspension, three ride modes, Crawl Tech and a 5-inch TFT console with Google Maps navigation.
Since its introduction in 2001, Pulsar has grown from an Indian sports motorcycle into a global brand, with more than 20 million units sold across over 40 countries. Its muscular styling, commanding road presence and performance have remained central to the brand’s identity.
Speaking at the launch, Sarang Kanade, Chief Business Officer, Two-wheeler Business Unit, Bajaj Auto Ltd., said, “Pulsar is completing 25 years this year, and we can’t be prouder that a product born in India is now running across all corners of the world.”
The new Pulsar 150 is powered by a 149.5cc engine producing 14 PS and 13.7 Nm, while the Pulsar 125 gets a 124.58cc engine delivering 12 PS and 11 Nm. Both motorcycles feature an improved power-to-weight ratio and revised gearbox aimed at delivering stronger low-speed performance and quicker acceleration.
“We have got an all-new engine, and it maintains the signature Pulsar. The Pulsar 150 comes with 14 PS of power, while the Pulsar 125 now comes with 12 PS,” he said.
The motorcycles also feature an all-new diamond-type frame and nitrogen gas-charged monoshock suspension. Crawl Tech enables controlled movement at very low speeds without throttle input, making the motorcycles more manageable in congested traffic.
“The Pulsar is a beast when you need it, but when you need to ride it easily, it can go as easy as you want. It all depends on the rider and how he wants it,” he added.
Technology upgrades include a 5-inch TFT console with Google Maps navigation, call and message alerts, music controls and the ability to store vehicle documents. Three ride modes – Road, Rain and Sport – further enhance adaptability across riding conditions.
The motorcycles also receive an Integrated Starter Generator (ISG) with automatic start-stop functionality on the top variants, helping improve fuel efficiency and refinement.
“We are introducing for the first time in the segment a 5-inch TFT with Google navigation. Google navigation is now part of the TFT, for both Android and iOS phones,” he said.
The Pulsar 150 is priced from INR 1,15,233, while the Pulsar 125 starts at INR 92,900 (ex-showroom, Delhi) at introductory prices.
