Mahindra Launches BLAZO i-TRK, Targets Higher Fleet Profitability

New heavy commercial truck combines 320 HP mPOWER engine, AI-enabled fuel-saving technology and 48-hour uptime guarantee

Mahindra Truck and Bus, part of the Mahindra Group, has launched the BLAZO i-TRK, a new-generation heavy commercial vehicle designed to improve fuel efficiency, vehicle uptime, operational productivity and fleet management for transporters and fleet owners.

The BLAZO i-TRK combines Mahindra’s 320 HP mPOWER engine with technologies including the AI-enabled iFuelSmart automatic drive mode, TurboMAXX turbocharger and OptiFuel air compressor. The company says the package can deliver up to 10% better fuel efficiency, with the resulting savings potentially translating into up to ₹15 lakh* in additional profit per truck over five years.

Commenting on the launch, Mr. Vinod Sahay, President – Trucks & Buses, Executive Chairman – SML Mahindra and Member of the Group Executive Board, Mahindra Group, said, “India’s freight and logistics sector is entering a new phase of growth, where technology, reliability and operational efficiency will define competitive advantage. Our ambition is not only to build better trucks but also to shape the future of commercial mobility through innovation and strong customer partnerships. The BLAZO i-TRK embodies this philosophy through intelligent trucking and has the potential to increase profit by up to ₹15 lakh* per truck over five years compared to other trucks in the industry. At the same time, it comes with an industry-first uptime guarantee.”

A key feature of the BLAZO i-TRK is Mahindra’s 48-hour Uptime Guarantee*. Under the programme, eligible customers will receive ₹10,000 per day* if the vehicle is not restored to operation within the committed 48-hour period. The uptime programme is supported by Mahindra’s service network and Mahindra Quick Service Points (mQSPs), located within 75 km on National Highways and 50 km on State Highways.

The company is also offering a Parts Supply Guarantee* covering 250 critical parts*. If an eligible guaranteed part is not made available within the committed 24-hour period, the customer is entitled to receive the part free of cost*. The BLAZO i-TRK also comes with a warranty covering more than 100 parts.

Focus on fuel efficiency

The BLAZO i-TRK is powered by Mahindra’s 7.2-litre mPOWER engine, producing 320 HP and 1,100 Nm of torque across an operating range of 1,100 to 1,700 rpm. The broad torque band is designed to reduce the need for frequent gear changes while supporting pulling power, gradeability and fuel efficiency across varying road and load conditions.

The engine features the TurboMAXX turbocharger, which increases airflow into the engine to support combustion efficiency, low-end torque and drivability. The OptiFuel optimised power-reduction air compressor disengages once the required air pressure is achieved, reducing parasitic power losses.

Another key technology is iFuelSmart, described by Mahindra as India’s first AI-enabled automatic drive mode in the heavy commercial vehicle segment. The system analyses factors such as road gradients, payload and driving conditions and automatically selects the appropriate driving mode to optimise engine performance and fuel consumption.

Connected technologies for fleet management

The BLAZO i-TRK is available with Mahindra’s iMAXX 2.0 connected vehicle platform, which provides fleet owners with information on vehicle health, driver performance, maintenance requirements and operational efficiency.

The system includes features such as remote AC management, remote vehicle crank inhibit, air-filter clogging alerts, DPF performance alerts and Distance-to-Empty monitoring for diesel and AdBlue. FleetSense reports provide insights into fleet utilisation and vehicle performance, while ScoreMAXX analyses driver behaviour through detailed driver scorecards.

An optional dealer-fitted, two-way camera-based Driver Monitoring System is also available. The system monitors the road ahead and provides features such as driver recognition, seat-belt monitoring and detection of signs of fatigue or drowsiness.

The truck is also supported by Mahindra’s NOW 24×7 mobile application. The platform allows customers to raise and track service requests, book appointments, access service history, request roadside assistance, order spare parts, monitor the location of breakdown vehicles and view digital approvals and service updates.

Emphasis on uptime and driver comfort

The BLAZO i-TRK features a three-way adjustable COMFiMAXX suspended seat designed to reduce vibrations and road shocks while adapting to the driver’s weight. EzyCruise cruise control is intended to improve comfort during highway operations while supporting controlled fuel consumption.

Other features include a heavy-duty 430 mm clutch with an integrated wear indicator, a factory-fitted air-conditioned cabin and an entertainment system with Bluetooth connectivity, FM/AM radio, USB charging, AUX support and a microphone for hands-free calls.

Mahindra is also offering customised, long-term mCARE Annual Maintenance Contracts and Extended Warranty plans for the BLAZO i-TRK, with options including 6Y/6L and 8Y/8L, as well as 6,000–10,000-hour plans for tippers.

The BLAZO i-TRK features factory-engineered provisions for Aero Kit installation, aimed at simplifying fitment and improving aerodynamic efficiency while avoiding issues associated with conventional aftermarket modifications.

The BLAZO i-TRK range will be available across variants and applications in three colours.
