Mercedes-Benz Brings Limited-Edition Night Editions to GLE and GLS SUV Range in India

Mercedes-Benz India has expanded its luxury SUV portfolio with the launch of the limited-series GLE and GLS Night Editions in India, introducing exclusive styling elements and bespoke interior enhancements to two of its highest-selling SUV models.

Part of a global limited-edition programme, the new Night Editions will be available in restricted volumes across international markets, reinforcing their exclusivity and collector appeal. The launch is also aligned with the growing demand among luxury customers for greater vehicle personalisation and differentiated ownership experiences.

Mr. Santosh Iyer, Managing Director & CEO, Mercedes-Benz India, said, “Continuous product innovation for customers through new products, their facelifts, and exclusive editions has been core to Mercedes-Benz’s successful product strategy in India, consistently elevating the brand’s desirability. GLE and GLS are undisputed segment leaders in the luxury SUV category in India, elevating India into MercedesBenz’s top global markets for these SUVs. The introduction of the ‘Night Edition’ with bespoke design, curated interiors, exclusive appointments and a sharper focus on personalization, makes the SUVs highly exclusive and unmatched in appeal. As our discerning customers increasingly seek vehicles that reflect their individuality, the GLE and GLS ‘Night Edition’ sets a new standard in differentiated luxury, reinforcing Mercedes-Benz’s leadership in top-end luxury SUV space.”

The Night Editions feature a darker and more distinctive visual identity, highlighted by black-themed exterior styling and two paint options – Obsidian Black and Alpine Grey. Among these, Alpine Grey will be exclusive to the Night Edition range, giving customers a unique offering not available in standard variants.

Inside the cabin, Mercedes-Benz has further elevated the premium character of the SUVs with black Nappa leather upholstery and Anthracite open-pore oak wood trim, elements that remain exclusive to the Night Edition models. Both SUVs also receive a Head-Up Display as a standard feature.

The GLE Night Edition builds on the popularity of the GLE in Mercedes-Benz India’s core luxury SUV segment by adding a more sport-inspired design language. In addition to its darkened visual treatment, the model also gains AIRMATIC suspension, offering an enhanced air-suspended ride quality and a more refined driving experience compared with the standard GLE range. Mercedes-Benz has also confirmed the introduction of the Head-Up Display across GLE variants.

Meanwhile, the GLS Night Edition brings the same design philosophy to the brand’s flagship luxury SUV. Mercedes-Benz said the larger proportions of the GLS further amplify the bold black styling theme, while the upgraded interior appointments strengthen its premium and luxurious appeal.
