
Mercedes-Benz India has strengthened its retail presence in Andhra Pradesh with the inauguration of a new 1S luxury dealership in Visakhapatnam, reinforcing the brand’s focus on expanding its footprint across emerging luxury car markets in India. Operated by Silver Star, the newly opened showroom is strategically located on the Chennai–Kolkata Highway at the Visakhapatnam Marriott by Fairfield, offering enhanced accessibility and visibility for luxury customers in the city.
The inauguration also marked the showcase of the all-new CLA BEV, Mercedes-Benz’s latest electric luxury vehicle, which the company described as its most intelligent and technologically advanced EV yet, signalling a new phase in its electric mobility strategy in India.
Designed in line with Mercedes-Benz’s global luxury retail standards, the new facility aims to deliver a modern and immersive customer experience through personalised consultations, premium hospitality and digitally integrated engagement zones. Completed within a short span of three months, the showroom incorporates interactive digital aids, curated customer touchpoints and tailored consultation areas to elevate the luxury buying and ownership experience.

Spread across around 2,300 sq. ft., the showroom includes a dedicated customer interaction area and one exclusive delivery bay. The facility is supported by a team of 15 trained professionals focused on customer engagement across sales and delivery operations.

The Visakhapatnam expansion forms part of Mercedes-Benz India’s broader ‘Go to Customer’ retail strategy for 2026. The luxury carmaker plans to add over 20 MAR20X outlets across high-potential emerging markets while further strengthening its presence in major metropolitan regions such as Bengaluru, Mumbai and Delhi NCR. The company also intends to continue upgrading existing facilities to global MAR20X standards while exploring AI- and automation-led retail technologies to enhance customer experience.
Mercedes-Benz India said the planned retail expansion will be backed by an investment of ₹200 crore from its franchise partners over the next two years, underlining the company’s continued focus on premium retail infrastructure and customer-centric luxury experiences in the Indian market.
