RODIM Opens First India Brand Store, Targets Premium Detailing Ecosystem

RODIM, backed by BASF, has officially launched its first exclusive brand store in India with the opening of ‘Perfect Finish’ in Faridabad. The move marks the company’s entry into India’s organised automotive detailing retail space and underlines its focus on building a technology-driven ecosystem for premium paint protection solutions.

The new outlet has been launched in partnership with Mr. Pranav Sharma, CEO of Perfect Finish, and follows the global debut of RODIM’s flagship R-Star Paint Protection Film (PPF) at Automechanika.

RODIM said the Faridabad facility will function not only as a premium detailing and paint protection centre but also as a dedicated training hub for installation professionals. The company aims to equip partners with advanced installation techniques that improve application quality while reducing material wastage during PPF installation.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by senior leadership from BASF, including Mr. Andy Wong, Me. Sooraj Kapur and Mr. Ram Kumar Gaur. They were joined by Mr. Ruchir Malhotra and Mr. Sachin Ahuja, whose company serves as the sole importer and distributor of RODIM products in India.

The company plans to replicate the branded store format across the country as part of a larger retail expansion strategy.

Speaking at the launch, Mr. Wong said the brand store reflects RODIM’s long-term commitment to the Indian market and its ambition to transform the country’s largely unorganised automotive detailing sector into a more structured and professional business ecosystem.

Mr. Khar described the launch as a significant milestone in building a technology-led and premium detailing ecosystem in India. He noted that the participation of automotive detailers from across the country highlighted the growing demand for advanced paint protection solutions. According to him, the company is combining global technology expertise with Indian market requirements, affordability and customer preferences.

Mr. Malhotra said professional detailers in India have responded positively to RODIM’s offerings following the Automechanika showcase, adding that the new branded outlets are expected to establish higher standards for service quality in the detailing segment.

Mr. Ahuja added that the company intends to help existing channel partners upgrade their detailing studios into world-class facilities through the new retail ecosystem.
