Mercedes-Benz India Unveils All-New V-Class, Redefining Private Luxury Mobility

Mercedes-Benz India has strengthened its leadership in India’s luxury mobility segment with the launch of the all-new V-Class, a vehicle positioned to transform the rapidly growing market for private, chauffeur-driven luxury travel. Designed as an ultra-premium personal mobility space, the new V-Class blends expansive cabin volume, refined comfort and modern design to create what the brand describes as a “private suite on wheels.”

Offered in an extra-long wheelbase configuration measuring 5,370 mm in length with a 3,430 mm wheelbase, the V-Class is aimed at power customers, business leaders, trendsetters and affluent families who prioritise exclusivity, privacy and freedom of movement. With growing preference among Indian families for large, luxury travel vehicles—often accommodating pets and multi-generational travel—the V-Class is positioned as an additional, high-comfort vehicle for those who value personal space while on the move.

Mr. Santosh Iyer, Managing Director & CEO, Mercedes-Benz India, said, “We are delighted to introduce the all-new V-Class for the Indian market, redefining the concept of a ‘private suite’ offering luxury, space and privacy to our exclusive customers. The V-Class addresses a growing trend amongst India’s opulent customers and trend setters, who seek an oasis of personal space, tranquility and privacy, while travelling in the lap of luxury. The decision to start the local production of the V-Class further reinforces our India commitment, adding significant value to our customers.”

Inside, the V-Class features a sophisticated six-seat layout dominated by first-class individual seats in the second row, equipped with three-stage ventilation and massage functions, calf support, deployable cupholders and wireless charging. The third row sets a segment benchmark by offering ventilated seats for the first time, along with 3-point seat belts, ISOFIX anchors and USB charging ports. The front row continues the luxury theme with electrically adjustable, ventilated seats with cushion length adjustment, creating a comfortable command zone for the driver.

The cabin experience is enhanced with 64-colour ambient lighting, a Burmester surround sound system with Dolby Atmos and 15 speakers delivering 640 watts, THERMOTRONIC automatic climate control, heat-insulating glass with sunblinds and Mercedes-Benz’s ENERGIZING Comfort programme offering up to ten wellness modes. Convenience features include electric sliding doors on both sides, operable via the key, door handles or interior controls, and an electrically operated split tailgate for hassle-free loading even in tight parking spaces.

In a move that underscores its three-decade-long commitment to India, Mercedes-Benz India confirmed that the V-Class will enter local production. This follows the company’s earlier announcement of local assembly for the Mercedes-Maybach GLS, making the V-Class the second product scheduled for India-based manufacturing this year under the brand’s “Make in India” strategy.
