JSW MG Motor India Launches MAJESTOR, Sets New Benchmark in D+ SUVs

With the MAJESTOR, JSW MG Motor India aims to raise the bar in the large premium SUV segment by bringing together bold design, smart technology and strong performance in one complete package.

JSW MG Motor India has unveiled the MG MAJESTOR, positioning it as India’s first D+ SUV that blends rugged capability, premium comfort and advanced digital technology. First showcased at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, the MAJESTOR now moves into the pre-booking phase, with prices to be announced closer to launch.

The SUV, built on a 2950 mm wheelbase and measuring 5046 mm in length, 2016 mm in width and 1870 mm in height, makes it the longest, widest and tallest in its class. Its exterior design features a Mosaic Matrix Combination Grille, signature Dragon Eyes DRLs with split headlamps, connected LED tail lamps with sequential indicators, a raised hood line and 19-inch alloy wheels. It combines a strong, upright stance with a refined premium look suited for both city streets and highways.

Inside, the vehicle offers a spacious, black-themed cabin finished with plush leather and a sleek centre console. Available in both 6- and 7-seater configurations, the SUV caters to families as well as adventure-focused buyers. The front seats are ventilated and offer massage and memory functions, with 12-way adjustment for the driver and 8-way for the passenger. A panoramic sunroof enhances the sense of space, while 64-colour ambient lighting and three-zone climate control ensure a comfortable and personalised driving experience. The digital experience is anchored by dual 12.3-inch screens for the instrument cluster and infotainment system, supporting wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. A 12-speaker JBL audio system, dual wireless chargers, a 220V power outlet and over 75 connected iSMART features further underline its tech-forward positioning.

Under the hood, the MAJESTOR is powered by a 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine delivering 215.5 PS and 478.5 Nm of torque, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. It is offered in both 2WD and advanced 4WD configurations. The intelligent 4WD system features 10 terrain modes and an Auto Mode that operates in 2WD during normal conditions and automatically switches to 4WD when loss of traction is detected, ensuring both fuel efficiency and off-road performance. The SUV becomes the first in its segment to offer front, rear and centre differential locks, enabling it to tackle extreme terrain conditions even when one or more wheels lose traction. Supported by Crawl Control Mode, 219 mm ground clearance and an 810 mm water-wading capability, the MAJESTOR is engineered for durability and serious off-road capability.

Safety is another key highlight. The SUV is equipped with Level 2 ADAS, offering assisted steering, braking and acceleration. Additional safety features include a 360-degree HD camera, Electronic Stability Programme integrating ABS and EBD, Traction Control System and Roll Movement Intervention, enhancing driver confidence across varied driving conditions.

The SUV will be available in Sharp and Savvy variants across 2WD and 4WD drivetrains, in colour options including Pearl White, Concrete Grey, Metal Black and Metal Ash. As part of MG’s 5-5-5 ownership programme, customers will receive a 5-year unlimited kilometre warranty, 5-year roadside assistance and 5 labour-free services. Through a partnership with ICICI Bank, buyers will also receive an invitation to the ICICI Emeralde Credit Card with zero joining fee, along with priority deliveries, exclusive previews and curated experiential drives for early customers.

Pre-reservations opened on 12 February 2026 with a booking amount of ₹41,000 through the MG website. Showroom displays and test drives will begin in April 2026, with deliveries scheduled to commence in May 2026.
