Škoda Auto India expands Kylaq line-up as bestseller crosses 50,000 milestone

Škoda Auto India has started 2026 with a renewed product push, building on its most successful sales year in 2025 and the introduction of the new Kushaq. Strengthening its strategy of bringing accessible European technology to Indian customers, the company has expanded the variant range of its bestselling sub-4m SUV, the Kylaq, giving buyers more choices and better value.

The Kylaq has swiftly become a cornerstone of Škoda’s India portfolio. Since launch, it has sold over 50,000 units, emerging as a major contributor to the brand’s best-ever annual performance in its 25th year in the country. Customers have responded strongly to its mix of safety, technology, driving dynamics and overall value, cementing the Kylaq as a strong contender in one of India’s most competitive SUV segments.

Marking the model’s first anniversary, Mr. Ashish Gupta, Brand Director, Škoda Auto India, said the Kylaq reflects the company’s long-term commitment to the market. He added that crossing the 50,000-unit milestone underscores growing customer trust, and that the expanded Kylaq range aims to extend this momentum by making key features more accessible and offering the most affordable true automatic transmission in its segment.

A Wider, More Structured Variant Line-up

In 2026, the Kylaq range grows from four variants with seven price points to six variants and 11 price points. The new Classic+ sits between the entry-level Classic and mid-spec Signature variant, while a new Prestige+ becomes the top-end trim. This restructuring ensures greater flexibility and more value-driven choices across the line-up.

Democratising European Tech

The new Classic+ variant brings features previously reserved for higher trims — including an electric sunroof, Auto IRVM, cruise control, LED lighting, rain-sensing wipers and a multi-function steering wheel. Importantly, it also becomes the most accessible vehicle in the segment to offer a full-fledged automatic torque-converter transmission.

Higher-spec Signature and Signature+ variants now gain features such as an electric sunroof, paddle shifters, rain-sensing wipers, rear wiper and washer, and LED reading lamps. The Prestige line has been split into Prestige and Prestige+ to broaden access to fully loaded features.

Safety and Peace of Mind Remain Central

The Kylaq remains the safest ICE model in the segment, with top crash ratings from Bharat NCAP. All variants come with six airbags and more than 25 standard safety features, while higher variants offer over 40. Škoda continues to offer a best-in-segment 4-year standard warranty, roadside assistance and labour-free services at scheduled intervals, including the newly introduced Check-in services at 1,000 km and 7,500 km to improve transparency and the overall ownership experience.

Anniversary Offers to Mark One Year of Kylaq

To celebrate the Kylaq’s first anniversary, Škoda Auto India has rolled out limited-period benefits of up to ₹50,000 on select variants. The one-year Škoda Maintenance Package is available at 50% off, and all buyers across trims receive an assured gift. These offers are valid until 28 February 2026.
