Ultraviolette, the Bengaluru-based e-mobility innovator, has unveiled its full global product portfolio at the world’s largest motorcycle show, EICMA 2025 in Milan. The company also announced a strategic partnership with Cardo Systems to develop connected-riding technologies for India and international markets.
Fresh from the launch and ongoing deliveries of the X-47 Crossover in India, Ultraviolette used the EICMA stage to introduce the UV Crossfade — India’s first carbon-fibre smart helmet designed as part of a larger Connected Rider Ecosystem. The UV Crossfade integrates directly with Ultraviolette motorcycles, making it the world’s first helmet-based interface designed to communicate with a bike’s onboard systems.
Through its partnership with Cardo Systems, Ultraviolette brings mesh-network connectivity to riders, enabling real-time rider-to-rider communication, rider-to-group interaction, and rider-to-vehicle integration. The collaboration will also support safety-alert communication through Cardo’s headset interface.
The UV Crossfade helmet works seamlessly with Ultraviolette’s connected motorcycles — the F77 MACH 2, F77 SuperStreet and X-47 Crossover — with rollout planned across future models including the Tesseract and Shockwave.
One of the key features of the helmet is Dynamic Alert Sequencing (D.A.S). This system prioritises and routes alerts from the motorcycle (such as radar-based warnings on the X-47) directly to the rider’s Cardo audio unit, ensuring faster response and improved situational awareness.
The helmet features a lightweight carbon-fibre shell reinforced with fibreglass layers, weighing approximately 1,380 grams. It complies with global safety standards including DoT, ISI and the European ECE 22.06 certification.
Mr. Narayan Subramaniam, Co-founder & CEO, Ultraviolette, said at the showcase, “We don’t just build vehicles; we craft experiences. UV Crossfade marks the beginning of a new era of intelligent rider-machine integration. Combined with Cardo’s communication technology, it enhances safety and elevates the ride experience.”
Cardo Systems’ VP of Business Development, Mr. Shachar Harari, added, “This collaboration enables a whole new level of motorcycle connectivity — integrating Blind Spot Detection, status alerts and advanced rider assistance features directly through the Cardo unit.”
The UV Crossfade smart helmet is priced at INR 19,900 and is now available via Ultraviolette’s online platform.
Ultraviolette’s presence at EICMA also showcased the company’s expanding global portfolio — including the upcoming Tesseract and Shockwave models — reinforcing its ambition to redefine electric performance mobility worldwide.
