MyMotoCo: Transforming Fleet Maintenance with Innovation and Transparency

In an insightful exchange with Rajesh Rajgor, Sanchit Rathi, Founder of MyMotoCo Autotech, shared how his venture is transforming the automotive aftermarket through technology and innovation. Inspired by his family’s business and e-commerce experience, Sanchit launched Q-Com warehouses in Gurgaon (Bilaspur) & Jaipur(Shahpura) to optimise fleet maintenance with transparent pricing, doorstep delivery, and instant invoicing. Despite challenges like transitioning fleet operators from credit-based systems, MyMotoCo has achieved notable success, offering 7-10% cost savings for fleet operators. With ambitious plans to expand its SKU range, launch mechanic service platforms, and establish dark stores nationwide, Sanchit envisions revolutionising fleet maintenance and logistics in India.

Sanchit Rathi, the visionary founder of MyMotoCo Autotech, is driving transformation in India’s Automotive Aftermarket with a technology-driven approach to Fleet Maintenance. The idea behind his venture, deeply rooted in his family’s business in the automobile aftermarket, began taking shape during the rise of e-commerce in 2014-15. “While e-commerce was revolutionising consumer goods, I realised that fleet operators were still working with an outdated mindset, relying on opaque pricing and inefficient practices,” he recalls. This realisation sowed the seeds for MyMotoCo, which aims to optimise fleet maintenance and bring transparency to a largely unorganised sector.

The turning point came after Sanchit gained hands-on experience with multiple startups in the e-commerce and logistics sectors. It was during this time that he noticed the inefficiencies in fleet maintenance, particularly in areas like pricing clarity, timely servicing & product authenticity. “Fleet operators were being pushed to operate round-the-clock to meet the demands of quick commerce, yet their maintenance systems weren’t evolving to support this efficiency. That’s when I thought—why not create a solution that helps optimise their operations?” he explains. The result was the establishment of Q-Com warehouses in Gurgaon (Bilaspur) and Jaipur (Shahpura), strategically located to serve NCR’s thriving logistics ecosystem with same-day delivery capabilities.

Unlocking Savings and Efficiency for Fleets

MyMotoCo’s platform addresses several critical challenges faced by fleet operators. From ensuring price visibility to providing doorstep delivery and instant invoicing, the company is redefining how maintenance is managed. “Our platform offers multi-brand options, standardized pricing, and eliminates the need for manual intervention, which leads to better efficiency and cost savings,” Sanchit shares. For fleet operators accustomed to dealing with varying prices and credit-based procurement, this approach is a game-changer.

The tangible impact of MyMotoCo’s services is evident in the cost savings realized by fleet operators. With an average fleet size of 200 trucks running 10,000 km monthly, operators spend approximately ₹1.5-2 per kilometer on maintenance. He highlights, “By using our platform, operators can save 10-20 paise per kilometer, which translates into annual savings of ₹24-48 lakhs. With similar quality brands, this efficiency could increase further, adding another ₹5-10 lakhs in savings annually.” These savings are not just monetary—they also translate to improved operational efficiency and better resource utilization.

Technology plays a central role in MyMotoCo’s mission to streamline fleet maintenance. The platform leverages the familiarity users have gained from e-commerce giants to make it easy for them to compare prices, brands, and availability before purchasing. “Technology eliminates biases and ensures a uniform experience for all users. It’s about empowering customers with data and transparency,” Sanchit explains. Beyond spare parts procurement, the company is also working on a mechanic service platform to provide on-demand support for vehicle breakdowns. The pilot phase will cover the Delhi-Mumbai route, eventually expanding nationwide.

Plans for Growth and Expansion

As a bootstrapped startup, MyMotoCo has faced its share of challenges. Convincing fleet operators to move away from credit-based purchases to a wallet-based model was a significant hurdle. “There’s a deeply ingrained belief that spare parts must be sold on credit. We addressed this by offering a 30-day cash-and-carry model and providing offline and WhatsApp support to ease their transition to our tech platform,” he shares. These efforts have helped build trust among members, showcasing the tangible benefits of MyMotoCo’s offerings.

Looking ahead, Sanchit is ambitious about scaling MyMotoCo’s operations and impact. Over the next two years, the company plans to expand its SKU range from 4,000 to 20,000, increase its product categories from 10 to 30, and set up 10 dark stores along the Delhi-Mumbai corridor. The company also aims to grow its fleet under management to 2000 to 25,000 vehicles, serving 50-70 member clients, while launching its mechanic service platform. “Our vision is to reach an ARR of ₹30-40 crore in 24 months and establish ourselves as a trusted partner in fleet maintenance,” Sanchit shares.

The long-term goals are even more ambitious. By 2030, MyMotoCo plans to establish dark stores every 200 kilometers across the country and introduce Costco-like big-box outlets for the automobile aftermarket. “We aim to standardize this category at scale, helping India’s logistics industry cope with the demands of e-commerce and quick commerce,” he remarks. This vision aligns with the growing need for efficient logistics operations to support India’s booming e-commerce ecosystem.

MyMotoCo’s journey is a testament to the power of innovation and persistence in solving long-standing challenges. By leveraging technology and a customer-centric approach, the company is not only optimizing fleet maintenance but also setting new benchmarks for the automotive aftermarket in India. Sanchit sums it up perfectly: “It’s about creating a transparent, efficient ecosystem that benefits everyone—from fleet operators to mechanics to end consumers.”

As MyMotoCo continues to expand and refine its offerings, it stands poised to play a pivotal role in transforming India’s logistics and fleet maintenance landscape. The road ahead is challenging but filled with opportunities, and under Sanchit’s leadership, the company is well-equipped to navigate it.
