TVS Mobility Private Limited (TVS Mobility Group) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with global lifting solutions leader PALFINGER, marking a significant step in strengthening PALFINGER’s India strategy under its global Strategy 2030+. As part of its first-phase expansion, PALFINGER will invest ₹350 crore to set up a manufacturing facility in Pune by 2027, targeting both domestic and international markets.

TVS Mobility will play a central role in enabling PALFINGER’s India operations through integrated supply chain, dealership, aftermarket, rental and mobility services. The partnership leverages the combined ecosystem of TVS Supply Chain Solutions (TVS SCS), TVS Automobile Solutions (TVS ASL) and TVS Smart Mobility (TVS SM) — each operating under separate contractual arrangements — to ensure seamless market access and scalable lifecycle support.
Enabling Supply Chain Readiness
TVS SCS will anchor PALFINGER’s inbound and domestic logistics, FTWZ (Free Trade Warehousing Zone) operations and integrated warehousing — ensuring streamlined material flow and operational continuity as the Austrian manufacturer establishes its new production base.
Under the partnership, TVS Smart Mobility will support PALFINGER’s go-to-market plan by tapping into its network of over 150 dealership and service points across India. This will enable structured Vehicle-on-Demand services and mobility solutions, supporting rapid deployment and customer accessibility at scale.
TVS Automobile Solutions will manage nationwide parts distribution, service readiness and equipment uptime through its expansive aftermarket infrastructure. Integrated service operations aim to provide faster turnaround and long-term customer support across India.
Exploring Defence Opportunities
Both companies will jointly explore opportunities in India’s defence sector, combining PALFINGER’s specialised lifting and equipment technologies with TVS Mobility Group’s operational footprint and the defence logistics expertise of TVS SCS.
Mr. R. Dinesh, Director, TVS Mobility Group, said, “This partnership builds on our relationship with PALFINGER and reinforces our role as an integrated mobility solutions provider supporting global equipment companies in India. By leveraging the strengths of TVS SCS, TVS ASL and TVS SM, we aim to drive faster go-to-market, operational efficiency and scalable lifecycle support for PALFINGER’s India growth.”
Mr. Andreas Klauser, CEO, PALFINGER AG, added, “TVS Mobility brings strong operational presence, infrastructure and execution capabilities, making them a strong partner across India. By combining strengths, we will expand our footprint, improve parts availability and enhance service responsiveness as we activate our APAC growth strategy under Strategy 2030+.”
