At the India Garage Expo, Thunder Auto is making a significant impression with its innovative garage equipment. Originally founded as Thunder Horns by her father, the company has since evolved from manufacturing horns to developing cutting-edge garage solutions. Swathikha Sundaram, Partner at Thunder Auto, shares that the company has integrated advanced German technology into their products, which are exclusively manufactured in India. “We’ve brought in technology from Germany and fully manufacture it here. Our products are one-of-a-kind in India, reflecting a significant leap from our origins,” Sundaram explains.
The company is highlighting two standout products at the expo: the Portable Single Post Lift and the Transport Dolly. “The Portable Single Post Lift is a versatile tool that can lift a car from one side, facilitating underbody work and polishing. Its unique selling point is that it functions as five different machines: a lift, wheel aligner, engine crane, spring compressor, and gearbox adapter,” Sundaram elaborates. This multifunctional approach makes it a valuable asset for any workshop.
Another key product on display is the Transport Dolly, designed for easy manoeuvrability of accident vehicles. “The Transport Dolly allows a single person to move a car effortlessly around the workshop, which is especially useful in busy environments,” Sundaram adds.
The response to Thunder Auto’s products has been promising. “We’re actively participating in shows to demonstrate our products, as their uniqueness requires hands-on experience to fully appreciate. We’re in the phase of expanding our dealer network and market presence, and the feedback has been encouraging,” Sundaram notes.
Looking to the future, Thunder Auto plans to expand into international markets. “We aim to focus on exports, targeting the Saudi, UAE, and US markets. The US, in particular, has a significant demand for home-based garage solutions, and we believe our products will fit well there,” Sundaram concludes. This strategic focus is set to enhance Thunder Auto’s global reach and capitalize on new opportunities.
