From September 13th to 17th, 2024, SML Isuzu Ltd hosted its Annual Dealer Conference in Dubai. The event brought together 70 domestic and internal dealers from across India, creating a platform for strategic discussions and the unveiling of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP).
The conference began with a warm welcome from Mr. Junya Yamanishi, Managing Director, SML Isuzu, who shared Sumitomo Corporation’s vision, emphasizing SML’s commitment to leading specialized mobility solutions and contributing to sustainable societal growth. He also focused on the role of AI intervention in the coming days and SML’s readiness for this change.
A pivotal session was led by Mr. MS Ramta, Executive Director and Plant Head, who discussed production efficiency and future readiness. He shared exciting news about SML Isuzu’s upcoming new models at Auto Expo 2025.
Mr. Rakesh Bhalla, CFO, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the dealer network, praising their contribution to achieving record profits in FY23-24 and Q1 FY24-25. However, he encouraged the team to aim even higher in the coming quarters, recognizing their untapped potential.
Mr. Prashant Kumar, Chief General Manager of Marketing, introduced the conference theme, “Drive Change and Ignite Innovation.” He welcomed new dealer partners and highlighted the company’s year-over-year growth and profitability. He also emphasized the current marketing challenges and urged dealerships to enhance their customer-centric experiences to better meet business needs.
The conference concluded with an awards ceremony recognizing outstanding dealer performances, as well as achievements by the SML team in various categories. This was followed by an interactive Q&A session, where Prashant Kumar addressed key queries.
Overall, the conference was a perfect blend of business and enjoyment, fostering a sense of extended family among all participants.
