PHINIA Completes Strategic Acquisition of SEM

PHINIA Inc., a global leader in premium fuel systems, electrical systems, and aftermarket solutions, has announced the successful completion of its acquisition of Swedish Electromagnet Invest AB (publ). SEM is a century-old specialist in advanced ignition systems for natural gas, hydrogen, and other alternative fuels, as well as in injector stators and linear position sensors for on- and off-highway commercial vehicle and industrial markets. The company also provides ignition and fuel injection solutions for the professional handheld equipment segment.

With more than 100 years of industrial legacy, SEM brings deep domain expertise in advanced ignition technologies for both on-road and off-road applications. The acquisition aligns with PHINIA’s long-term strategy to invest in future-forward technologies that support the transition to alternative fuels and advance sustainability goals across global markets.
