Jeep India Launches Meridian Track Edition with Sliding Second Row

Jeep India has unveiled the limited-run Meridian Track Edition, positioning it as the most comfortable iteration of its premium seven-seater SUV yet. Built on the Overland variant, the new edition combines distinctive styling enhancements with a key functional upgrade — a 140 mm full-forward sliding second row designed to improve third-row access and cabin flexibility.

The introduction of the sliding second row marks a significant customer-led update, aimed at enhancing long-journey comfort and practicality. The feature allows more adaptable space management while making entry and exit to the third row considerably easier.

Distinct Track Edition Identity

The Meridian Track Edition distinguishes itself with a series of visual enhancements that sharpen its road presence. Piano Black accents feature across the grille, badges and exterior mouldings, complemented by 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. A Dark Espresso grille with Neutral Grey highlights lends a stronger front profile, while a signature Track Edition hood decal and exclusive insignia underline its limited-run identity.

Inside, the cabin receives a crafted upgrade with a dual-tone Tupelo interior featuring suede inserts, contrast stitching and quilted detailing on seats and bolsters. Dark Espresso accents with Piano Black bezels add depth across the dashboard and door trims. A Cortina leather-wrapped steering wheel with detailed stitching and Track Edition appliqués across the cabin and floor mats further enhance the premium ambience.

Jeep Confidence 7 Ownership Programme

The Track Edition also comes bundled with Jeep Confidence 7 — an ownership programme offering up to seven years of warranty, assured buyback, maintenance packages, roadside assistance and priority service. The package is designed to strengthen long-term ownership reassurance in the premium SUV segment.

Mr. Kumar Priyesh, Business Head and Director – Automotive Brands, Stellantis India, said the Track Edition introduces a more expressive take on the Meridian while delivering the enhanced flexibility customers have sought. He added that the sliding second row transforms it into the most comfortable Meridian yet, backed by the added reassurance of the Jeep Confidence 7 programme.

Proven Diesel Powertrain and Feature-Rich Offering

Mechanically, the Meridian Track Edition continues with the 2.0-litre MultiJet II diesel engine producing 170 hp and 350 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a segment-first nine-speed automatic transmission and is offered in both 2WD and 4WD configurations. Jeep’s Selec-Terrain system further enhances capability across varying road and terrain conditions.

The SUV retains its comprehensive feature list, including a 10.1-inch Uconnect 5 infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, premium Alpine audio system, dual-pane panoramic sunroof, 12-way powered ventilated seats with memory function and Level 2 ADAS with over 10 active safety features.
