MEYLE leverages Automechanika platform to expand India aftermarket footprint

German aftermarket specialist MEYLE used the ACMA Automechanika platform to underline its growing commitment to the Indian market and to showcase new product developments targeted at premium European vehicles. Exhibiting alongside its long-standing distribution partner, VIR Group, the company highlighted both its product depth and its intent to build a stronger footprint in India’s evolving aftermarket.

Jörn Meyer, Product Manager – Steering and Suspension Parts, MEYLE AG, noted that the company views the show as a strategic interface with the industry, especially workshops and mechanics. “This is a very good platform to introduce new products into the market and to engage directly with customers and garages,” he said, adding that feedback from mechanics plays a key role in refining products for real-world requirements.

A key highlight at the booth was MEYLE’s air springs range, developed in partnership with suppliers serving OE brands. Though visually simple, the product involves complex engineering and a strong focus on durability and performance. The company emphasised that assured quality and long service life remain central to its value proposition.

Looking ahead, MEYLE sees India as a priority growth market, particularly for European and German car parc. John pointed to the potential of deeper India – Germany trade ties, noting that as imports of German vehicles grow, “we as specialists for German brands will be able to participate in this development and continue to offer better parts for those cars.”
Overall, the show served as a confidence booster for MEYLE’s India roadmap, combining partner collaboration, new product visibility and closer engagement with the service ecosystem.
