Participating for the 15th time at Automechanika Dubai, DaTo is using the 2025 edition to underline a clear message to the aftermarket: high technology can be made both accessible and profitable for workshops across the region.
“Automechanika Dubai has been a part of DaTo’s journey since our formation in 2011, and this is our 15th presence here. Every year we see the energy rise, the footfall grow and the quality of discussions deepen,” said Mr. Arun Sivanand, General Manager, DaTo.
High-Tech Focus: Diagnostics, Rim Polishing and Laser Systems
At this year’s show, DaTo has positioned its stand around niche, technology-driven solutions designed to enhance workshop productivity and open new revenue streams.
“For 2025, we chose to highlight advanced diagnostic scanners, zirconium-based rim polishing, and laser welding and cleaning systems. These are the technologies that are attracting the most curiosity and serious interest from visitors,” he explained.

These solutions target both general repair workshops and specialised body shops looking to differentiate on quality and turnaround time. The new-generation diagnostic scanners are aimed at simplifying complex fault-finding on modern vehicles, while the rim polishing and laser solutions tackle high-value cosmetic and structural repair work that customers increasingly expect to be done in-house.
Preparing Workshops for the EV and New Energy Transition
Beyond internal combustion engine (ICE) diagnostics, DaTo is investing heavily in tools that support the growing EV and new energy vehicle parc in the region.

“The industry is in the middle of a major revolution with EV and new energy vehicles, and we want DaTo to be a practical enabler of that shift. We have introduced high-end tools focused on EV battery regeneration and maintenance, which directly help extend vehicle range and battery life,” he noted.
These specialist EV tools showcased at the stand are designed for safe disassembly, diagnostics and conditioning of high-voltage batteries, enabling workshops to participate in EV lifecycle services instead of ceding that work entirely to OEM networks.
At the same time, DaTo has not forgotten its core ICE customer base. The company has launched what it calls its most affordable diagnostic solution yet for combustion engines, aimed at independent garages that need breadth of coverage and usability without heavy capital expenditure.
“Our goal is to balance high sophistication with real-world affordability. Whether it is EV battery tools or ICE diagnostics, the investment must make sense for the workshop owner,” he added.
New Wheel Alignment Concept for Body Shops
DaTo is also unveiling a new wheel alignment solution tailored specifically for body shop customers. The system is designed to be space-efficient, easy to operate and accurate enough for modern chassis and suspension geometries.
“We built this wheel alignment concept with body shops in mind – minimal effort, low investment and very high accuracy. Just as important, we are fully committed to delivering professional training to every customer who adopts this technology,” he said.
This training-led approach is central to DaTo’s strategy: providing equipment alone is not enough; sustained usage and correct procedures are what ultimately drive ROI for workshop owners.
Serving a Diverse GCC and Global Customer Base
Operating from the UAE, DaTo uses Automechanika Dubai as a launchpad to engage both local and international B2B customers, including distributors and fleet operators.

“Dubai is home for us. It brings together people of every nationality and culture, and that diversity challenges our ideas in the best way. Every exhibition here exposes us to new questions, new expectations and new ways we need to customise our solutions,” he commented.
This continuous feedback loop from a multicultural market shapes DaTo’s product development and support models, ensuring tools are adapted to different workshop realities across the GCC, Middle East and beyond.
Distribution, After-Sales and Training Backbone
DaTo has built a structured distribution network across the Middle East, with dedicated partners throughout the GCC. These distributors and dealers are trained not only in product sales, but also in technical support and spare parts management.
“Our distributors are an extension of DaTo. They are thoroughly trained on our products, stocked with critical consumables and spares, and backed by our UAE master distribution hub for emergency breakdown support,” he said.
In the UAE, DaTo has also introduced a toll-free support number – +971-800-DATTO (800-3286) – that customers can use via phone or WhatsApp for quick technical assistance and service coordination.
Continuous Innovation and Global Expansion
DaTo’s R&D efforts are closely aligned with global technology shifts, including ADAS, EVs and aviation-derived systems increasingly used in automotive.
“DaTo is ever-evolving. We never assume we are on top; we keep learning and adapting. Our research team travels constantly, scans global trends and then works out how to bring those technologies into DaTo solutions in a way that is both economical and truly useful for our clients,” he explained.
With a strong GCC and Middle East base, DaTo is now moving into new territories. Direct operations have begun in Saudi Arabia, with a branch office opening in Riyadh. Expansion into Asian markets such as India, Sri Lanka and Pakistan is planned, followed by a focused push into Europe between 2026 and 2028.
“Our next chapter is about taking the ecosystem we have built in the Middle East – technology, training and support – and replicating it in Asia and then Europe. The strategy is clear, and Automechanika Dubai remains a key platform in that journey,” he concluded.
