During an exclusive interaction at ATS ELGI’s headquarters in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, Deep Narayan Bhattacharya, Head-Marketing, shared his excitement about the company’s recent performance. “Our business is on the upswing. There have been positive trends in the market with almost all leading players in the passenger and commercial vehicle segments expanding. As you know, we are actively involved with many top OEMs, this augurs well for our future. With these positive trends, we expect our turnover to cross Rs. 300 crore in FY24-25,” he said.
Growth Across Key Segments
Elaborating on the company’s growth drivers, Bhattacharya highlighted the opportunities brought about by the EV transition. “Apart from our core business in the passenger and commercial vehicle segments, the EV transition has also presented a good number of growth opportunities. We are single vendors to many top OEMs in this segment too. The sale of our EV battery lift and hybrid AC recovery machine has picked up in leaps and bounds. We have also got a breakthrough in terms of signing up of approvals with two leading tyre manufacturers. Similarly, the business has also been good in the two-wheeler market segment. Additionally, we have also been getting good traction from our ‘Fitness Centres.’ We have now 15 Fitness Centres across the country, and the number is expected to grow significantly soon,” he stated.
Exciting Launches at Auto Expo 2025
The ATS ELGI team is enthusiastic about its participation in the Auto Expo 2025 trade show. “We have lined up a few exciting new launches at the event. The showstopper is going to be our touchless wheel aligner. It is called ‘SmartLight,’ which we expect to be a game changer in the market,” Bhattacharya shared.
He also announced two other innovative products: “We will also be launching a new inverter spot welder from Telwin, our technology partner for welding products from Italy. Additionally, we will unveil a Virtual Reality (VR)-based vehicle diagnostic device at the event. This diagnostics device will help customers to upkeep their latest technologically advanced vehicles using VR.”
Furthermore, ATS ELGI’s booth will feature a display of its collision repair and 3D measuring system, alongside the complete range of EV-related products.
Unmatched Competitive Edge
Bhattacharya emphasized the attributes that set ATS ELGI apart. “ATS ELGI is a brand that gives its customers a wholesome experience. It is not just about a product. The hallmark of our products is exceptional quality. Additionally, we have a wide range of products, enough to tool up an entire workshop. Almost 90% of our products are being manufactured at our Coimbatore facility. Plus, we have technology-sharing partnerships with leading global players. Our products are backed by robust after-sales service support. We have a team of 75 sales personnel and 150 strong after-sales service support executives. All these attributes have contributed to our market leadership,” he stated.
Expansion and Innovation
Discussing the company’s commitment to innovation and expansion, Bhattacharya said, “We have always been known for our dynamic approach. To cite an example, we have a technology transfer agreement with V-TEQ of Spain, under which we have started manufacturing some of their products like brake testers in India. Similarly, we have also started manufacturing some of the products of SEDA, from Austria, our scrapping business, another company with which we have a technology transfer agreement. These initiatives help us make in India, apart from helping us become more competitive.”

Finally, Bhattacharya reflected on the significance of the company’s participation in Bharat Mobility. “Being India’s biggest automobile show, it is the best platform for ATS ELGI to showcase its latest products and solutions. A lot of OEM customers are expected to visit the trade show.”
He added, “Over the last few editions of the trade show, we have been successful in projecting that ATS ELGI is not merely a garage equipment manufacturer, but a ‘technology solution provider,’ which is trying to address the dynamic changes happening in the automobile industry. Whether it is our touch-free wheel aligners or the Telwin welder, these products are a testimonial to the fact that ATS ELGI is geared up to support its customers.”
